VIENNA, Austria - Oil prices held near $90 a barrel Friday, a barrier
crossed for the first time in after-hours trading in New York on
speculative buying. Investors are being drawn to energy futures as a
hedge against the weakening U.S. dollar. That, plus worries over
tensions between Turkey and Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq, has
lifted crude oil prices to new records for five straight days.

The price of oil per barrel in 1999, before the "moral majority" took
control of this country, was $12 and was projected to hold at $14
tops in 2000.
"God, in heaven if there is to be justice for the deaths of over a
million souls because of America's gluttoness and greed, let it hit
these fools the only place it'll do any good--in the pocketbooks. I
am willing to lose all I've acquired in the last 67 years to witness
their weeping and gnashing of teeth. Let their faces become wrinkled
from fear and shame as they are forced to listen and watch their
children cry from pangs of hunger. Glory be to God, not George W.
Bush and those who voted for him."
