If words could kill, there wouldn't be a million dead, 4,000 of them young Americans. There wouldn't have been an Abu Ghraib disgrace, and OPEC wouldn't be talking about going to a money basket system. There would be more MBAs than KIAs, and the American Dream would still be alive and well.

Not in a million years could I understand these types. I simply can't get excited about more money than I need for a modest lifestyle. I have been lucky and ended up with more money than I deserve, but it really don't mean very much to me.

I'm glad you feel that way. Inever received a penny for my injuries or loss of career. Next month I become a "pensioner" with just a state pension to live on. I'm not complaining though, the broken neck could have killed me, so could the heart attack, but I am still relatively healthy, have a loving wife and a nice home. Most of all I hav my freedom of choice and manage to live frugally but comfortably. A little more cash would surely make life a bit easier but you can't have everything. If you find you have too much I'll take it off your hands "only joking my friend" what you have is deserved and the best of luck with it. There are things that money can't buy, but politicians have yet to find that out. all the best ED

When I worked in Las Vegas for the Chicago Family, I'd asked those guys, "What good is this extra cash that we can't spend?" Hell, my boss had at least two million dollars stached away in his basement, and he was driving a car you wouldn't send your wife to the store in. I finally said to hell with it and left town. Two weeks later some people killed my boss and his brother.

is that a true story? What would you say smart, coincidental, luck or fate?

It's a true story. If you are interested in it, watch the movie, "Casino".

It was not luck, I knew they were going to be killed, like most of the cops in Las Vegas at the time. Things were totally out of control. The guy in the movie is named Nicky and played by Joe Pesci. His real name was Tony Spalatro/Spilotro.

Felt the same about Blaire. There is no justice in the world.
